Australian Travel Award for L’Aquila researchers - Deadline 31 October 2009

Australia 's research community has been among those offering aid to the University of L'Aquila,as it struggles to rebuild, and recommence its teaching and research by offering 10 Awards of AUS $5,000 each towards the visit of a researcher from L'Aquila to an Australian institution. The Award has the financial support of the Group of Eight Australian Universities, the Australian Academy of Science, and the "What if they never existed?" fund. The Travel Award is administered by ARIA-Canberra on behalf of the Italian research community in Australia.

The application is due on 31 October 2009  

"Travel Awards" sono offerti a giovani ricercatori dell'Aquila per proseguire la propria attivitàdi ricerca in Australia in attesa della ricostruzione dell'Università dell'Aquila. I Premi, dell'importo di5,000 dollari australiani ciascuno, dovranno essere utilizzati entro il 31 dicembre 2010 persoggiorni di almeno 8 settimane presso un'istituzione australiana. L'iniziativa è promossa dalleUniversità australiane del Gruppo degli 8 (The University of Western Australia,Monash University, The Australian National University, The University of Adelaide, The Universityof Melbourne, The University of New South Wales, The University of Queensland, and TheUniversity of Sydney), dall'Accademia delle Scienze australiana e dal fondo "What if they neverexisted". I premi saranno gestiti da ARIA-Canberra, l'Associazione per la Ricerca tra Italia eAustralasia.
